About Brian Mullan
Brian Mullan was head of maritime safety services at Inmarsat 1999-2009, having joined the company as market manager for merchant and passenger shipping in 1997.
Previously, he was Assistant Secretary-General of the Comité International Radio Maritime (CIRM).
For 10 years prior to that, he was Electronics Superintendent for P&O Containers (which became P&O Nedlloyd and is now Maersk Line).
He also served for many years as a ship’s radio and electronics officer and has an unparalleled breadth and depth of knowledge on all aspects of maritime safety and security communications; and was also a Governor of the World Maritime University 1990-1999.
